Paul,

If you 'REALLY' believe this is correct, why don't you wire all the outlets 
in your house for 230 Volts, plug all your radios, lamps and appliances into 
them and turn them on?  If what you say is true then you will draw less 
current through the wiring and hence waste less power in the voltage drop 
developed across the house wiring?
