[Boatanchors] peter dahl 5V4 ss replacement

Hello all,

I was looking into various solid state replacements for the 5V4 rectifier in my (newly acquired) collins 51J4. I've come across 3 of particular interest and wanted to solicit feedback from anyone who has experience with any of them (extra points given to experience on a 51J4.

1. Peter Dahl RECT015000  $8  can be seen 8th item down on

2. SI 1N1238 also 1N1239 (difference?) I've seen them as low as $5 or less on e-place

3. Weber copper Cap rectifier WV4 about $20

My concerns about which to get (if any) revolve such issues as
a) inrush limiting (or lack of)
b) B+ going on before filaments warm up
c) B+ too high

I *think* that the weber advertises that they address all three of those concerns, but at $20, is this a product marketed to audiophools?

Anyone have experience with the Dahl or 1N1238/9? Do these require B+ reduction and/or other mods to the radio?
