You don't say what frequency is involved or what the application is. How far
apart are the multi strand wires?
If the multi strand wires touch one another as in a regular stranded type
wire and it is at HF then you would probably notice no difference.
If the wires are not touching one another then the inductance may be a
little higher because of mutual inductance between the wires.
For multi strand wires to work like litz wire the strands must not only be
insulated from one another but must also be braided a special way that
allows each strand to have an equal share at the surface. Litz wire is only
effective at reducing skin effect resistance at low frequencies well below 2
MHz.
