Once again thanks to all of you for your assitance in this most recent restoration project. A few valuable lessons I learned.
1. Never trust old mica caps, regardless how good they look. Replace them all.
2. Never trust old disc ceramic caps regardless how good they look, replace them all.
3. Never trust old shunt resisitors, replace them all.
4. Never trust old carbon comp resisitors regardless what your ohm meter says. Replace them.
With that said, the power supplies solid stated, audio section modified and a neat PTT circuit Glen Zook helped me with the old DX-100 is holding court on 40 meters AM in the mornings and sounding better than before.
