Brief, but noteworthy.  I bet there were some Navy/USMC/Army RM's in 
the group that operated our beloved WW2 boatanchors.  Of all the MIL 
BA stuff I have, the WW2 stuff is the most simple, the heaviest, and 
the most inspiring, due to the gravity of the event. There's been 
nothing like it since.  (and it still works!)
