[Boatanchors] R-388/URR interest

Hello collectors,
I have recently acquired a nearly perfect Collins manufactured R-388. I say
"nearly" only out of caution, because I can't find a defect or a sign of
wear anywhere. It is as though this unit (and I've handled many, many of
them) was wrapped in black plastic and left on a shelf for 55 years. The
tuning drum is original but still not yellowed, no defects on the front
panel. The bottom plate screws are all still complete with the correct lock
washers. Top and bottom covers are original and in near perfect condition,
just a small scuff or two. All of the original tuning tools, wrenches, and
the spare panel light are still in position That is: all the Bristol spine
wrenches, two fiber/linen tuning wands, and the offset philips screwdriver.
It appears no one has done a thing to this baby, but it plays as is. I will
do a tube check (replacing any below specs), a full alignment, including PTO
if necessary, and take a full set of photographs. This one is too good for
