Good afternoon; I need to clear out several
items so my widow won't have to worry about
disposing of it at the curb<G>. This is the first item.
I have a Collins Antenna Tuner (Coupler, Antenna) From the name plate are
the
following info.
Type 490S-1 TSO C31c
ENV CAT. AAAAAE,
Ser. 057,
Collins Part No. 792-6140-001,
Weight 16.8 LB.
I am not sure what equipment this is part of but
may have been the 618 series. It appears to be
out of an aircraft. It has the large round insulator
built into one end with a central socket and
threaded outer shell. On the other end are 2
multipin connectors, the large one has a
connector cap installed. Also an RF coax
connector for the input. This unit has all
the seals intact from its last servicing/
installation. Aside from some paint chips
on the edges from handling it is in good
condition.
It appears to still be hermitically sealed.
It is surplus to my needs and I need to clean
out several extra pieces of equipment --
hopefully this is the first to go. I would be
interested to know what equipment it went
with and am open to offers from anyone that
can use this equipment.
You can e-mail me at w4bws at arrl.net .
 Healthfully yours,
                          DON W4BWS
