Interesting.... I also had both (SP-600 JX-28 & GPR-90)

I loved the beautiful appearance of the GPR, but never
thought it was much of a performer..(it met all specs, even)

The SP-600 was much better, (mechanical stability)
and even looked almost as nice with the deep set windows.
