Hello Jeff,
The NUVISTOR Electron Tube that you have is a Type 8056 "Triode" most likely manufactured by RCA.
The TEK TYPE "W" is an Oscilliscope Plug-In Module designed to fit the Tektronix 500 Series Oscopes. It is a Differential Comparator or Pre-Amplifier Vertical Plug-in usable up to 23 MHz Bandwidth. You could also use it in the TEK clones such as the Lavoie LA-545 Oscopes or other equivalents series oscopes. You can find SIEMENS Data Sheets on this Triode Nuvistor at Frank's Tube Data Sheets. It has a 6.3 Volt Filament. Date Code was May 1948.
