[Boatanchors] RE: False stuff

My story is similar...

I signed up for a personal PayPal and used
it for ebay transactions. After a while, they
decided to 'upgrade' my account to a business
account (never mind that it obviously had
nothing to do with a business), that involves
transaction fees, then helped themselves to
some cash I had foolishly left in the account.
They deftly executed the change unbenownst to
me.

I wrote PayPal, stating that I did not want a
business account, never used it for business
purposes and please change it back to what it
was. These pillars of honesty responded by
stating that changing an account required
filling up a request form. They failed to
explain how it was changed to a business
account without the required form. I asked
them to close the account. This was some
years ago. They still haven't done so.
Instead, they 'froze' it.

Shortly afterwards I read that ebay purchased
PayPay. I wasn't surprised, both companies
share the same business model... I will have
nothing to do with PayPal and pass on any
auction that requires PayPal payment.
