Hi,

I hope this isn't too far off base here, but I just thought that some 
oldtimers might get a kick out of it.

This morning my wife was snoozing in front of the TV, her program had 
just gone off, I was in the kitchen pouring a glass of caffeine (Diet 
Pepsi) when I heard the familiar sound of CW coming from the TV set.  I 
went into the living room to see what was happening, and there was a 
strange sight on the screen.  To the sound of the CW (real letters) 
there was a graphic display of the signal traveling along the telegraph 
wires, then down the pole into a newspaper office where sat a gray 
haired old man.  The signals went into a "mechanism" and exited as holes 
on a paper tape that certainly resembled a reperf tape from a RATT!

I was so intrigued with the process I forgot to concentrate on the Morse 
and see if what they were sending made any sense, though I did recognize 
several letters, so "somebody" that new Morse was sending it! All this 
in a kids cartoon!
