Hello,
The last large/heavy item I had packed at the UPS store (AKA Mail Boxes
Etc), was tossed it in a substandard box with a bunch of peanuts and it
suffered the expected results of such packing! They won't pack any more
shipments that I make!
Now, on the other hand I've received some heavy items through UPS that
were superbly packed, cut to fit foam insulation etc, and it survived well.
Just this morning I'm shipping a repaired National NC-183R back to a
gentleman in the same shipping materials it arrived in. Heavy duty
U-Haul Triwall outer box and a heavy duty triwall inner box that an air
conditioner came in. I have no doubt that set will arrive safely!
But I re-iterate. If I don't feel I can pack it sufficiently well, it's
"Pick-up only".
