[Boatanchors] Off topic - advice on a DMM

There are so many DMMs on the market (as well as in my drawer <g>). I'd suggest 
you consider the Bel-Merit DX460L. It does just about everything including measuring 
capacitance, inductance and frequency. I paid about $100 for mine (do a Google 
search). You can find cheapies for under $10. I got a toolbox cheapo from Harbor 
Freight for $3.95. It works fine. There are almost too many choices.
