[Boatanchors] Big sale in KCMO area.

I sure wish ... and many others here likely do too ... that in cases
like this SERIOUS consideration would be given to
at least offering the equipment here. If someone is willing to pay
shipping, I dont know what the big problem is with
selling through the list. Instead, we get frequent notices that
something is "pick up only" or "hamfest sale only".
There is very little chance that any significant number of us (most
likely one or two at the most) would be able to go somewhere to pick up
a piece of equipment. Doing so would cost more than it would to pay to
have it shipped....
Personally, I have seen lot of equipment on here that I would buy and
would also have shipped if there was a willingness to ship the item to
me ... after all, I'm paying for shipping too.
As it is .. when I get an email saying "hamfest coming up" or "pick up
only" ... I just hit the delete button without
giving it a second thought. Sorry, but I have no choice. I might be
willing to pay to have a rig shipped to me, but I
am not going to go pick it up .. .unless maybe its in my state.
Just something to think about....
