Hello friends,

I received a good number of comments on the above subject and found out,I
was not the only one looking for that ''silver bullet'',hi.

Looks like there is ''no free lunch'' and the only answer is to ,as Garey
calls it ---''successive approximation'',---pull the coilset, tweek the coil
by bending the loop,re-insert and check.

I will have to psyche myself up for this job, but I think I will first
varify that the oscillator is in the right place and may be juggle the range
and the tracking a bit with the trimmer only.----The coilset for my HRO-7 is
marked with the serial number of the set, and, may be,old James Millen did a
good job 50 odd years ago,hi.---In cleaning out every individual coil can,
to get the cobwebs out and lube the triimmers a bit,it shows the terrific
quality that went into the making and it is a pleasure to work with this
gear.

Tnx to all of you for the response---If I come up with any ''magic
revelations'',I'll let you know.---

For now it's ''successive approximation'',hi.----- 73 de Olaf,KF4TP---
