[Boatanchors] SB-230 tube wanted

You are looking for an 8873, not an 8874.  The 8874 is
an air cooled tube whereas the 8873 is the conduction
cooled version.  Unfortunately, the 8873 tubes, when
you can find them, have gone "through the roof" in
price since, to my knowledge, no one is making them
any more.

The 8874 / 3CX400A7 tube is still being made and those
tubes show up from time-to-time at reasonable prices. 
However, the same cannot be said of the 8873.

My Tempo 2001 linear has a pair of the 8874 tubes and
they definitely are air cooled.
