If it isn't a Hallicrafters, is it a Turkey? Possibly a duck named Drake or a
pond paddler called Swan, maybe even a National champion who put Benton Harbor,
Michigan on the 'Globe'! So bring out the vintage rigs, feathers and all, and
let's strut our stuff that still goes glow in the dark!
Saturday November 19th, be there for the Hallicrafters Collectors International
40 meter Net! The pre-Net commences at 12:30 PM EST, (1730 UTC) and the Net
proper starts at 1:00 PM EST, (1800 UTC). The frequency will be 7.280 MHZ lsb
+/- for key clicks, mike splatter and the chatter of Turkeys gobbling about
whatever those chubby Butterballs gobble about in preparation for making their
final curtain call at the Thanksgiving feast before a packed house. A great time
to Yam it up, provided the buns aren't burned and the stuffing doesn't taste
like it came from an old couch pillow who split his seams laughing as the potato
who could not keep his eyes to himself got mashed!
The propagation was very good last Saturday, so let's hope it is a repeat
performance tomorrow! Tune in and let's put some fire to the wires and melt some
of that stuff called snow. Here is hoping to hear you then!
