[Boatanchors] Testing a Ground connection

Hi Guys.....   Please give me some advice......

     I want to be sure that the short wave radio(for listening only)
that I am using is properly grounded not so much to protect from short
circuits BUT to insure that I'm getting the best reception possible.

     So,...    How do you test a ground connection to see if it's doing
a good job?
