But did they then try to sell you a cellular
telephone?

I used to get that kind of answer from my local Radio
Shack when I told the salespeson what I was looking
for.  However, the now assistant manager does have an
amateur radio operator's license and he greets me with
"what are you building now?"  He tells the newer
salepeople just to leave me alone.
