[Boatanchors] SP-600 band change scraping noises?

If I were doing any lubrication on the unit, would use WALSCO Lub B for
the contacts and GC "Phonolub" on the gears and rotating/rubing
mechanical
parts. They are formulated for lubrication and longevity.
In lieu of the Walsco Lub, good pure sillicon grease, such as GC Type
Z5 Compound. Have used both. Not sure where WALSCO is available, tube
we use is over 20 years old, not all gone yet.
