The 6919 is a "high Perveance twin Diode" for use in Computers. O,
what's "High Perveance" mean?
***** Larry and the list.
A good example of a high perveance diode is a 6AL5.
Perveveance is defined by Langford Smith as "the relationship between the
space-charge-limited cathode current and the three-halves power of the anode
voltage".
The other, a 6687/E-91H is a dual control heptode used in computers.
Since tube based computers were before my time, what actually were these
two used for?
****According to Mullard, the 6687/E91H/EH900S was used as a "gating" valve
(tube) in early computers.
There are no subs that i could find in any of the tube bases for these two.
A 7062/E-180CC is a twin triode used in computer applications also.
***** The 7062/E180CC again according to Mullard is a dual triode for use in
computers.It has equivalents,CV8431 or CV5766
A 7036 i believe it said was a pentagrid.
***The 7036 is a 5915A or EH900S,Heptode or Hexode.
All the above tubes were designed for long time operation with little or no
cathode current flowing.
