It's about _CONSENT_, not content.
Odds are very high that the hardware he wants to sell is for high-cost
production toroid winders, too, which makes the mail unrelated to the
purpose of the list, and again spam.
He sent an unsolicited piece of commercial mail to the mailing list.
That's spam.
He spammed this mailing list, and I, for one, won't have anything to
do with companies that spam. He lost my business the instant I became
aware that he had spammed.
Spam is rapidly making E-mail unusable as a means of communication.
Don't help the spammers.
