Well of course this begs the question, what is the best radio for cooking?
When my wife was doing most of the cooking, she used a Hallicrafters TW-2000
she talked me into giving her after I restored it. When I took over the cooking
about a year ago, I switched to an SX-130 for a while, but now have settled
on an SX-28. Things just seem to go better with an SX-28. You can use it
directly for things like pressed duck. An SX-28 is so handy in the kitchen, you
can keep food warm on the top, or even use it as a slow cooker by wrapping
your meal in aluminum foil and balancing it on top of the 5Z4 and 6V6's! (Beef
stew takes about 5 hours this way.) What more could you want?
