Larry,

Maybe you have one of the elusive R-388A's that have been rumoured to exist 
but no one ever admitted to having one.

However, if the subassembly with the three mechanical filters attached has 
two tubes and is mounted behind the dial drum up against the PTO, I probably 
have the Instruction Book covering at least that part of the modification.  And 
the tubes are 6BA6, not 6BE6 (which is a converter tube, not an amplifier).
