[Boatanchors] Radio Intercept Recorder information needed

Hi!

Found an interesting item last Sunday at the swap meet.
It looks like we found a radio intercept cassette recorder in the US Military OD green mode.
Rear data plate says: Video research Corp, Riviera, FL
Model UNH-173
SN 640
Looking at component dates I estimate manufacturing date as around 1980.
Capability is one or two radios, has linear speed control and a couple of VU meters. 
Power input 12 vdc 24 vdc and 110 vac.
The ruggedist cassette recorder I have ever seen. Cassette access door looks bullet proof!
Does anyone have info on this one? I have a bit of a wiring situation at the single power input connector. I can generate a pix if you need it.
