Due to financial problems I am selling off most of my boatanchor
collection. The first item is my AR-88-D. This is a WWII era receiver
that is fairly rare in this country as most of them were sent to England
and Russia during the war. It was the replacement for the AR-77 and is a
very high quality receiver with excellent audio. It is a large, very
heavy, and well built radio. It is in very nice shape for a 60 plus year
old radio and it does work. It is the third and best example that I have
owned. I have not had time to go through and re-cap it and that should be
done on any radio of this age. It has a manual copy and some more articles
on fixes and modifications that could be done. It has the S meter which
was often left off due to shortages during the war. As far as I can tell
there are no modifications of any kind. I have what I believe is the
proper speaker for it. Due to it's fine condition I am asking $450.00 for
it and $150.00 more for the extremely rare speaker. I will send pictures
on request. Set your e-mail program to accept some large attachments. All
of my mail is virus checked and the virus program is updated daily. I am
located in Booneville, Arkansas and can deliver a reasonable distance for
cost.
Thanks and 73 Gary N9ZSV n9zsv at cei.net
