[Boatanchors] Number of amateur radio operators in the UnitedStates

Hi Sheldon...

Is there even such a thing as a "Novice" class licence in the U.S.
anymore...? I thought the FCC did away with it.

If I'm wrong then, do the U.S. Novices still have cw sub-bands on 80- 40-15-
and 10-meters...? Do they have anything approaching a unique prefix?

I'm from Canada & just don't know any better...thanks for your indulgence!
