Mine has two turns of CAT-5 cable with the 16 conductors 
connected in series and broadly resonated, 20KHz or so, with 
a fixed cap.  Tap at a turn or two feeds 75-ohm coax.  Seems 
to work well between 10 and 100 KHz without tuning, so you 
can stick it on the roof with out a lot of drama.  Signals 
and noise levels are pretty high so you can get away with 
this as long as the RX isn't particularly deaf.
