Hi Wayne.
You seem to sum it up well, although the policy
tends to vary depending on...well...who knows what it depends on!
At one point, this rule was attributed to Al Waller, although when
that was pointed out not to be true that claim was retracted.
It's also been the case that mere mention of an item was grounds
for a public drubbing, so at this point who knows?
Even the latest buzz is somewhat schizoid:
"Just as a friendly reminder "
morphs into:
"Those who violate this policy will be removed. This is the only warning
you will receive, remember it!"
I think the underlying intent is for all of us to continue to ignore the
"elephant in the living room" and all pretend that The Unnamed Aution Site
doesn't exist,
even though most of the Halli gear being traded, is done so there, and that
this practice is not going to end for the foreseeable future.
I hope that helps clear up the rules!
