[Boatanchors] Sperti Inc. Boy Scout radio?

Hello All,

I have a 2 meter tube-type handheld made by Sperti Inc. of Cincinnati 
Ohio.  It is model XR-2-B.S.  I think it was made about 1948.
I think it was made for the Boy Scouts.  Can anyone verify this?
