Hi Roger, 

Most of these relays are SPDT. So, when you transmit, though the rx lead is not 
connected directly, it is floating inside the relay container.

Look on it from a radiation point of view:
What is the sensitivity of your Rx? Say it's 0.5 uV into 50 Ohm. That's -157dBW.
What's the signal you're planning to feed in? 100 W. What's the ratio? 177dB.

Can you see any possible reason in there for wanting just a smidgin of isolation?
