Suggestion:	
	
In the future, record all of this in a word processing program, name the file,
save it on a 3.5 inch 1.44 Meg disk (if it will fit) or another medium if it
will not. Then you can look through all of this stuff at your leisure and not
have to worry about forgotten bookmarks and so forth. It is very easy to use the
'find' command in Word Pad or whatever.

Yeah? How do you use it? What I'm trying to do is search for manuals of test
equipment by the manufacturer's model number. I don't have the government
numbers.  Equipment I am fairly sure was in the inventory at one time.  I
suppose I am looking for a decoder to convert Mfg's number to Government
number.  Their help desk doesn't answer the phone so far.
The target equipment here is:
HP 851B
HP 8551B
Boonton 91 BD
ITT Mackay Marine ssb 100 and MT 100 frequency/mode programmer
All but one probably in the Depot repair system way back when
