[Boatanchors] HP 5245L/5243B Freq counter question

Peak the signal on the LOWER of the two spots that give a reading and
just add the nixie display to the nearest (usually damn close to)
indicated multiple of 50MHz on the 5253B dial.

Using the higher frequency peak/spot requres the nixie display to be
subtracted from the indicated 50MHz multiple. It's occasionally useful
to use both peaks/spots if there's any doubt as to what you are
measuring, for confirmation of the true frequency, but rarely
necessary.
