I have a SX-100 and HQ-140X. I usually migrate to the 140X...much better for AM...especially with the big Hammarlund spkr.. and CW not too bad. Also should be easier to work on than the SX-100, the 140X is a little more roomey. The SX-100 has better selectivity than the 140X, so when condx get QRM'y the SX-100 would be a bit better for cw...and if you must listen to SSB, the SX-100 works pretty good. Just my opinions...de Bill K4JYS
