There will be a HCI 20 meter Net on Sunday December 25th -
Join us on Sunday December 18th for the HCI 20 meter Net. As this year
winds down, so do I as NCS.
The pre-Net will commence at 12:45 PM EST, (1745 UTC). The Net proper will
begin at 1:15 PM EST, (1815 UTC). The frequency will be 14.292 MHZ usb +/-
for key clicks, mike splatter and hopefully some good propagation. Last
Sunday it was decent, can it happen for two Sunday's in a row or will the
propagation entities shake, rattle and roll those bones and turn up snake
eyes? For those of you who never participated in a wholesome Craps game
during lunchtime while in high school, a pair of 'ones' on the dice, called
snake eyes, means you lose!
Personally I played a slot machine, AKA the milk vending machine! If you
knew just where to thump that thing with the left hand, precisely how hard
to kick it on the letter "N" contained in the name of the vending machine
company and when to rock it twice to the left quickly, back to the right
once, then backwards three times really fast ... It paid off by emptying
the contents of its personal bank vault all over the cafeteria floor! So
you bribed a willing female to use her skirt to catch the change in and
gave her 20% of the take!
This will not work today, so forget trying! When I went to high school the
girl's ctually wore clothes and the skirts came down to about two inches
above the knee. Now about all that is left to a boy's imagination is how to
spell the darn word!
Two years after I graduated they started to let the girls wear mini-skirts.
All those things were good for was catching a Cold!
Here's hoping to hear you tomorrow! Be there. Be counted! Buy my extra
equipment! All of you who have been complaining about how you could do a
better job, well now is your chance to prove it. I think I am going to
enjoy my retirement. Might be fun thowing rotten eggs for a change instead
of ducking them! (LOL!)
