[Boatanchors] Hollow state in Wired Magazine

Talk about retro. The new Wired magazine (of all places - the Bible of the
digital age) has two bits about tubes.

One is an ad for a radio kit (in a wooden box no less) with a tube audio
stage - wonder where they get the supply of tubes.

The other is a review of a Chinese made super CD player (this is not an
April fool's issue) for $7,000. It uses tubes for the final audio, and
extols their virtues as non-solid state.

plus ca change, plus ca change
plus c'est la meme chose.

"[S]o long as the people do not care to exercise their freedom,
those who wish to tyrannize will do so; for tyrants are active
and ardent, and will devote themselves in the name of any number
of gods, religious and otherwise, to put shackles upon sleeping
men." --Voltaire
