[Boatanchors] Slidell, LA conditions?

My sister/brother-in-law in Jackson, MS have refugees from Slidell sheltering 
with them. Wanted to know whether I could find out anything about conditions 
in Slidell as phones are out both in Jackson and in Slidell.  Thunderstorm 
through here Friday night took out my main HF antenna and I don't have it back 
up.  If anyone has talked/does talk to any hams in or around Slidell and could 
relay their estimate of conditions to me for further relay (cell phone service 
is sorta working into Jackson) we'd appreciate it.  Name of subdivision in 
Slidell of specific interest is Turtle Creek.
