Mike:

This is a growing problem... folks wanting to get more than the actual bid 
amount.  Ebay calls it "Reserve Fee Avoidance" and says they view it as a 
serious offence.

I saw a transformer listed as "Buy it Now" for $.01, but the shipping cost 
was stated to be $70.00!  The description stated "figures are final, if you 
don't agree, don't bid."   This was a flagrant way to not only get a high 
amount, but to avoid paying commission of any significant amount.

Ebay says they prosecute these things, but I have seen no evidence of it.

Let the buyer beware!!
