[Boatanchors] Viet Cong Homebrew radio set

I have been going over a VC homebrew set that was supposedly made in the
1950s in Cambodia. It is a 6 tube superhet. The interstage transformers
are very strange looking IFs. There appear as a two cans the same size
as two of the small transistor IFs but upon further examination, they
are on the same base. I conclude there are two coils and two tuning
slugs.

Have any of you ever seen such items?
