Looking for an oddball radio made by Kaar Engineering of Palo Alto,
CA., model TR 426 transmitter/receiver Industrial Mobile Phone (or
IMP). This is an old 2 way rig used on forklifts and other business
band type stuff back in the 50s/early 60s. There are probably
truckloads of them out on the left coast, but back east they are less
plentiful. They are a bit larger than the old Johnson Messenger series
of the same era. Antenna attaches to the top center of the cabinet.
Very basic looking with speaker grill and a couple of knobs, no
meters.
Anyone have one of these critters hanging around the shop or garage in
need of a new home? I'm interested in anything from 'parts' to
'pristine' as well as literature and any accessories.
Thanks -
