I've used a fair number of 6550s in audio gear, and none for RF service.
Bearing that firmly in mind, I'll also say that I've never seen anything
on any of the 6550s I've used saying that it was for audio service only,
or that it was suitable for RF.
I wish I had a better answer, but suspect that you're just going to have to
stick your foot in the water.
