The 'band planner(s)' that I've talked to around here say that no one
uses AM so it's not an issue. They tend to discourage anything beyond
SSB and FM or CW for weak signal stuff. Last I knew, folks in the
northeast still used 144.4 +/-. It's the defacto AM contact frequency
at Hosstraders and probably other big hamfests too.
