Hi all:

My reassembled 1948 homebrew 6 foot rack rig is now operational - 3.885
Megacycles AM with 75 watts into the Double Zepp dipole.
Getting fine reports...Hats Off to George.

The maker - W2PLY, George Shenton - used a BC 457A as the VFO...so I believe.
I have it here.

It seems like he injected the 457 input to the cathode of the 6L6 oscillator.

Now...this unit has a pair of 807's!!!
He certainly did not inject this output into the cathode...and I don't see
where any other output ...unless its combined with the power plug octal
connector??

Sooooo...how does one use a BC 457A as a VFO into a crystal controlled
oscillator??

And...how might I use a Hallicrafter HA-5 with this same 6L6
oscillator...which has 6L6 doublers tooo....going to the 2 X 1625 finals.

Thanks a Bunch,
Steve
