I forgot to add, there is a sweep width setting in the panel center. Could you have that and the vernier set so that the sweep width is too narrow for you to observe? This thing can sweep crystals, so goes pretty narrow,.

Also, are the Sweep Mode settings set right?  (ie NOT Trig and NOT Manual?)  It;s like a triggered sweep for a 'scope.
