Yes, light up those vintage Hallicrafters wonders that still go glow in the
dark, without Radium paint, and join us on Sunday April 10th for the HCI 20
meter Net. Keep those QSL cards, letters and ready to use address labels coming
for the commemorative certificate too!

The pre-Net will commence at 12:45 PM EDT, (1645 UTC), so pay attention to your
digital display on your cell phone, remember to press the button on that talking
watch from RS with the Oriental twang or glance out the window at your sun dial.
(Ever wonder how you reset a sun dial for daylight savings time?) Just don't be
late!

The Net proper will start at 1:15 PM EDT, (1715 UTC). You will be able to
recognize something different in my Shack background environmental noise floor,
as that sound like a gargling tugboat will be gone. As will my teenage grandson
and his buddy who are at that wondrous age where belching long and loud is a
real status sign among adolescent males. Now the females give them stern and
totally disgusted looks, while holding back a smile. Some roll their eyes back
in their heads in a dramatic lack of manners culture shock pose, only to have
their blue or green tinted contact lenses drop out, trip over the fire hydrant
they could no longer see, do a perfect Olympic 10 cartwheel and land flat on
their backs in a rumpled pile of clothing that looks like last weeks cloths
hamper deposits! Not to be outdone, the neighborhood Tomboy gulps down a can of
classic Coke and lets loose with a thunderous burp that sets off nearby acoustic
and motion sensors jamming the 911 lines!

The frequency will be 14.293 MHZ usb +/- for key clicks, mike splatter and the
mournful whaling teenage girls that sound like barn Cats who got their tails
caught in the gears of the Hog slop delivery conveyer belt as they frantically
search for their contacts! Never mind the strange QRM, join us for some fun,
facts, forsale items, fascinating circuit puzzles, Ham Fest bargain fibs and
some downright good times! Hear you then.
