Your problem is most likely coming from C31, a 3 section filter cap 
consisting of 60-40-40Uf @150V. The 4th section is 20Uf @25V in the cathode circuit of 
50C5.
R   Y  Y     Black common.

D A N G E R!  This is an AC/DC chassis.  Ues extreme care working with it. 
Use an isolation transformer if one is available.  The hot lead goes to the AC 
switch on the volume control. The common lead is grounded to the chassis. A 3 
wire cord set is even better. Be sure isolation bushings are properly installed 
when closing things up. Install a polarized cord set.
