[Boatanchors] Tube questions

The main problem with using 3-500Z tubes is that they
are about 1 to 1.5 inches taller.  In the Swan Mark I
there wasn't enough clearance to use the 3-500Z
without having to "prop up" the cabinet or else to
make a "dog house" on top of the cabinet to clear the
plate connections.

A previous owner of the one that I owned had replaced
the 3-400Z tubes with 3-500Z and the cabinet top could
not be put in place.
