I believe that there is a light bulb as part of the
audio oscillator (I know that there is one in my
TS-497 and in my Measurements 180).  Make sure that it
isn't either burned out or has come loose in its
socket.  If the audio oscillator doesn't use a light
bulb then you are on your own!
