Hi Phil,
If you use an anti-corrosive, conducting grease on the screw and the lug of the wire 
you are grounding, the intermetallic corrosion should be zero. Under your bench 
there shouldn't be any fluids that could produce an electrolyte, so putting different 
metals together should have no effect. The main grounding contact is between the 
lug and the copper strap, anyway.
