All vintage gear of all flavors is alwys welcome - if it isn't vacuum, just fake
a little hum!

Please join us on Sunday November 28th for the Hallicrafters Collectors
International 20 meter Net. All who can assist with relay duties will be greatly
appreciated. Hopefully KG4KZG, Dale, out of southern FL will be available and
able to render his usual super relay help. I could also use somebody in the
Midwest, deep south and southwest. Perhaps K0EJF out of CO or KK5KC out of TX or
N5CM out of LA or others will be present and willing.

Due to unexpected very high medical costs here, I am going to have to sell my
primary NCS station. I thought I had the costs covered, and I may, but the money
does not look like it will arrive in time to keep the legal eagles off my back.
My back is against the wall, otherwise I would 'never' even consider selling my
NCS station! This is a 'have to', not a 'want to' situation. Therefore my modern
solid state gear will be put up for sale on Monday November 29th. I 'prefer' to
sell it privately and avoid electronic auctions. However, if I can not sell it
on my own, I will be forced to use any means at my disposal. Because the bulk of
this equipment used for my NCS station is not vintage, it will not appear on the
vintage lists. Those who are interested should contact me direct by telephone or
e-mail for listings and prices. Thank you.

Yes, this 'may'' put me off the air. We will just have to see how it plays out.
If it does, I am hoping 'one' of you will step up to the mike and take over,
until I can hopefully get the equipment needed and return to the air on HF.

As for right now Sunday November 28th, business as usual. The pre-Net will
commence at 12:45 PM EST, (1745 UTC). The Net proper will begin at 1:15 PM EST,
(1815 UTC). The frequency will be 14.293 MHZ usb +/- for key clicks, mike
splatter and the sound of my sump pump gargling, gurgling and spitting out some
putrid smelling nasty looking water to the east directly into my neighbor's
beautiful rose garden with imported roses of all kinds climbing the redwood and
white trellises. Now my sump pump system was installed long before they moved in
and planted this rose garden, so the water it sprays on the flower bed is not
intentional or done for any hostile or malicious reason. It really does not
matter currently, as the roses are dead, just some thorny old vines dangling
down from the supporting structures. I tried mixing some Miracle Grow in with
the landscape drainage that provides the Summertime mist over their yard, but
all it did was to cause the crab grass, dandelions and insects to "be fruitful
and multiply' and they had to hire one of those weed, feed and seed companies
that trim with turbine powered weed whackers and blast the rest out of the soil
with carefully placed tiny charges of C4! Once the moon crater appearance is
covered over by the brightly colored patio stone slabs and the artificial
Kentucky blue grass astro turf is in place, nobody but a Better Homes And
Gardens expert could tell the difference. So that loud sucking sound with a
happy hum is not my power supply getting ready to meet its manufacturer, just
the old sump pump clearing his throat and hurling! No cause for alarm, unless
you are one of those roses in bloom!

I hope to hear many of you tomorrow, well today actually now! So check in and
share with us your latest and greatest acquisitions, repair accomplishments,
rare DX work dwith a QRP rig and the fillings in your teeth and some historic
piece of trivia to educate us all. hear ya later!
